Contemporary re-edition of the Easy Lounge Sofa, inspired by the original seating designs created by Pierre Jeanneretfor the architectural ensemble of Chandigarh, India, during the mid-1950s.

This model is defined by its low profile, flat sloping backrest, and distinctive bridge-style lateral structure, a structural solution characteristic of Jeanneret’s architectural approach to furniture design. The result is a piece that balances solidity and visual lightness, combining comfort with strong geometric presence.

The structure is crafted from solid teak wood, sourced from natural forests in northern India, while the seating and backrest are upholstered in black suede textile, offering a refined contrast to the warmth of the wood. The proportions are generous and grounded, designed for relaxed seating while maintaining a sculptural silhouette.

The chair’s architectural language, visible joinery, and honest materiality reflect the functional modernism of the Chandigarh project. This contemporary re-edition respects the original design intent while being suitable for modern interiors and daily use.

Ideal as a lounge chair, accent seating, or statement piece in residential or curated spaces that value mid-century modern design and timeless craftsmanship.
